Quiz Creation Guide in AccessAlly

Wondering how to create quizzes on WordPress using AccessAlly? This Guide will walk you through the different options - and link out to the step-by-step tutorials so you can implement the ideas in your own membership site or online course.

You can only have one quiz per page, but you can add any number of quiz pages to your courses or memberships.

Graded Quiz

Create multiple choice quizzes and decide on the pass or fail threshold. This is the most commonly used quiz, and it's quite powerful.

Personality Test

Use this quiz to define different outcomes and match each question to an outcome. You can also weigh questions more heavily, and assign an outcome at the end.

Scoring Test

Think of this as a way to sort people into categories, like beginner, intermediate, or advanced. You can make some questions weigh more heavily, too.

NOTE: You can use HTML to customize your quiz questions - Want to have your questions bolded, italicized, or even use video questions? Simply add the HTML code in directly to get as fancy as you want. Learn more about customization options here: How to Change the Appearance Of Your Quizzes.

Setup and Display Options

In addition to setting up the questions themselves, there are a couple of additional settings to take note of:

Add Quizzes To A Page with the Shortcode Adder - No need to memorize any shortcodes here! Add your quiz to the page with the AccessAlly Shortcode Adder, located in the toolbar. (Tutorial)

Retaking a Quiz - You decide how many times a user can retake the quiz through this setting. (Tutorial)

View Quiz on a Single Page (or multiple "mini pages") - Display all your quiz questions at once, or divide into multiple "mini pages" with this option. (Tutorial)

Tag someone when they complete a quiz - You can add unique CRM tags to your logged-in users when they complete a quiz. (Tutorial)

Quiz Completion Options

What happens when a user completes a quiz? You decide!

Here are a few options:

Tracking results

Finally, if you're ready to take your membership site or online course analytics to the next level, be sure to keep track of your Quiz stats. (Learn how with this tutorial: How to Review Quiz Answers on a Spreadsheet / CSV )
