When Would I Want the Key Pages Auto-Created?
If you’re setting up a brand new membership site, it’s always a good idea to have the key pages automatically created by AccessAlly. This ensures that the important functionality (login page, homepage, etc.) are all created and properly designated in the AccessAlly settings.
Not only is it convenient, but it also helps you avoid common setup errors.
For example: many new users aren’t aware that the login and dashboard page must also be designated inside the General Settings area, and they run into a redirect loop that prevents them from accessing content in their own site. When AccessAlly auto-creates the key pages, it also properly designates them inside the General Settings area.
When you might NOT want the key pages auto-created:
If you are migrating an existing membership site over to AccessAlly, you might already have some of the pages created and designed the way you want them (like the login page, dashboard, etc.). In this case, you might not want duplicate pages created.
However, please check to make sure that the existing pages are updated with the proper AccessAlly shortcodes AND are correctly designated inside the General Settings area.
