With PopupAlly, you can limit the number of times your popup appears on your website. This helps to make your popups more “polite” and welcoming to visitors.
In the display settings area, scroll down to locate the How to stop showing this popup section.
Here, you can designate the amount of time that needs to lapse before a popup is re-shown to a visitor:
- By default, the popup is set to 14 days
- To show the popup on every new page (or page refresh), the number should be set to -1. This is not recommended, as it may cause a negative user experience. However, -1 is helpful when you’re testing your popups.
- If you set the number to 0, the popup will only reappear after the user closes and reopens their browser.
Please note, these settings are not totally foolproof, since they are based on cookie tracking. If a user switches devices (like switches from their laptop to their tablet), PopupAlly will simply treat them as a brand new visitor.
To disable the popup completely, please make sure that the Show this popup on which posts/pages section settings do not allow the popup to appear on any pages.
